My 13 month old is big for his age. Wearing 24m/2t clothing since before turning one. He has chunky meatball feet and I was having trouble finding a sneaker that would fit. These are wonderful! We got the 18-24m size. He has been walking since 10 months. I prefer soft sole moccasins or bare feet as they are better for muscle development but I wanted to find something to help transition him to a sneaker (especially since he’s bigger he’ll be out of Infant soft shoes sooner) and keep his feet better protected on our hikes in the woods or in wet weather.
Anyway…these are awesome! 10/10 would recommend.

I bought these for my son, who is a “pre-walker.” At home, he is either barefoot or wears grip socks on the hard wood surfaces, but now that he is “cruising,” he needs something more protective for outdoors. They don’t seem to bother or distract him as much as some of his crib shoes did. (That’s not to say that he never pulls them off, just not as frequently.) They are also easier to get onto his foot, and stay on his foot more securely, than any other version of a shoe that he’s had. Also, these shoes are less chunky and cumbersome than shoes for toddlers who REALLY walk.
(FYI, I marked this as bad arch support because there is none. Babies are flat footed and do not need arch support. So, while it’s factual that these shoes have no arch support, it’s not a bad thing.)
The good and the bad
ByPuffinon December 11, 2014
Here are the positives:
– Great fit. Bought these when my daughter was 14 months old and they fit perfectly. Two months later they still fit well.
– Easy to put on. Strap, velcro, done.
– Style. People compliment these shoes everywhere we go.
– Matches any outfit. The silver color is very versatile and goes with tights and a dress or with socks and a regular outfit.
And a few negatives:
– Quality. Seemed great at first but now after only two months of wear, they look battered. Granted she wore them five days a week. The bow on each shoe did not keep its shape at all and the silver has completely worn off the front portion of the shoe.
– Price. I get it, kids’ shoes are expensive. But for this price, I think it’s realistic to expect more than two months of wear from them.
Great first shoe

These are great first walker shoes. The white will rub off a bit both from the bottom and from the top if your baby will switch back to crawling while wearing these on concrete. But despite a ton of first walking, these have held up great. I was worried about the scalloped edge digging into her fat on the top of her foot but it doesn’t seem to bother her at all.
